Interest level: 9 – I really really enjoyed reading this book.  I couldn’t put it down.  It was a great novel.

Ease of read: 7 – Easy to read, but also sad and difficult at times.

Life changer: 4 – It gave a very interesting historical, geographical, and spiritual perspective on the old story from the Bible.  I enjoyed the new and very different frame of reference.

Recommendation level: 8 – If you want a really interesting novel to keep you occupied for a few days.

TTBR Synopsis: The women’s perspective of the story of Jacob and Joseph from the Bible.  The history is beautifully woven, and it’s not glossed over and simplified and misogynistic the way the Bible can sometimes seem.  A very powerful and strong story of and for women.
