Interest level: 6 – I enjoyed reading it, but maybe more because it felt like an itch I couldn’t scratch.  It’s a story I once read, but couldn’t remember the details.

Recommendation level: 6 – You probably already read it, too.  But if you haven’t, you should so you aren’t that one guy at a bar who can’t say, “Oh, YEAH!” when someone reminds you about reading it in junior high.  Plus it’s really impressive that a teenager wrote it.

TTBR Synopsis: The Socs and The Greasers hate each other!  The Socs wear madras clothes a lot, and their problem is that the world is their oyster and they they live in Suburbia Hell.  The Greasers live near the hood and they don’t have good homes, but their gang is their home and their biggest problem is that society has failed them.  So they fight about it!
