Started reading: ummm early August?

Finished reading: ummm mid August?

Interest level: 10 – I was on vacation in Japan but all I wanted to do was read this book.  That’s how good it was.

Recommendation level: 10 – One of the best fiction books I’ve ever read.  So so so so beautiful.  It is absolutely captivating.  And totally indescribable.  Beautiful characters.  The theme of opera magically weaves the multiple languages and cultures together like musical notes lifting and falling across a score.

TTBR Synopsis: A cast of characters who can barely communicate with one another are forced into a hostage situation… and some amazing relationships begin.
